NL6
Charles Edward Brooke School is part of North Lambeth Sixth Form (NL6)
As a sixth form, we are committed to doing all we can to ensure the success of our students. Each of the three schools in the partnership have been awarded at least one specialist status:
- We benefit from our collaborative pooling of skills, expertise and resources. All three partnership schools have been awarded specialist status: Archbishop Tenison’s Boys’ School – Visual Arts; Charles Edward Brooke – Media and Music; and Music and London Nautical – Sport. This enables us to offer cutting edge teaching and learning in state-of-the-art facilities.
- We offer a wide range of unique and exciting learning programmes to better meet the needs of our students. Being a mixed sixth form, we are able to simulate a university tutorial system and thus prepare all students for the next steps in their education.
- Our range of academic and general vocational courses for full-time 16 to 19 year olds includes A levels and BTEC First Diplomas.
- We are committed to supporting all our students. We have a network of ex-students who are eager to come in and offer advice and reassurances to current students.
- We continually improve our specialist sixth form provision to ensure students make optimum progress.
- We continue to aim to raise levels of attainment and increase progression rates to university and other higher education institutions to enable our students to achieve long-term success.
- We are an inclusive place to learn. We work with small groups so no matter what a student’s starting point we aim to provide them with the pathways that will enable them to succeed.
- We provide leadership opportunities for every student as part of their weekly community service requirement. Emphasis is placed on providing role models for students lower down in the school.
